FORLAB Trypsin-EDTA Digest Solution

This product is filtered to remove bacteria and can be used directly for cell and tissue digestion.

• Due to the different nature of cells, the optimal digestion time should be determined according to the specific situation; the time of cell digestion should not be too long, otherwise, it will affect the cell attachment and growth status.
• Aseptic operation should be paid attention to, to avoid microbial contamination of the digestive solution.

Digestion of adherent cells
1. Aspirate off the culture medium and wash the cells once with sterile PBS, Hanks liquid or serum-free culture medium to remove the residual serum.
2, add a small amount of trypsin-EDTA digestion solution, cover the cells can be, 37 ℃ cell incubator for 1 ~ 2 minutes. The digestion time is different for different cells, and the digestion time can be extended appropriately for the cells with solid wall adherence.
3. Observe under the microscope, the cells obviously shrink, and the bottom of the culture vessel with the naked eye to find that the morphology of the cells have obvious changes; or blow the cells with a gun to find that the cells can just be blown down. At this time, remove the digestive solution. Add the cell culture solution containing serum, blow down the cells, can be used directly for subsequent experiments.
4、If the digestion is found to be insufficient, trypsin-EDTA digestion solution can be added to re-digest.
5、If it is found that the cell digestion time is too long, and the cells are not blown in time, and the cells have been partially dislodged directly from the bottom of the culture vessel, use trypsin cell culture solution to blow down all the cells directly. 1000~2000g centrifugation for 1 minute, precipitate the cells, try to remove the trypsin cell culture solution, and then add the serum-containing cell culture solution to re-suspend the cells, and then it can be directly used for the subsequent experiments.
